Originally posted by VBFC 節錄自 世界女排大冠軍杯賽 Quote from World Grand Champions Cup China open their win account Asian and Olympic champions China brushed aside Korea 3-0 in the first match on the third day of the women's World Grand Champions Cup at Nagoya Rainbow Hall on Friday afternoon. The holders and world No. 1 recovered from two consecutive losses to Brazil and USA in Tokyo to outclass Korea 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 and record their first win. Korea, a wild card entry, slipped to 0-3. It was clear from the opening exchanges that China, after two defeats in Tokyo, were in the mood third time out. Setter and captain Feng Kun had all the time in the world to work her attack, and the points flowed from heavy hitters Chu Jinling and Li Juan, and from the more crafted play of Liu Yanan, Zhou Suhong and Zhang Ping. The Koreans trailed by three at the first TTO and by four at the second, and the occasional breakthroughs by Kim Yeon-Koung and Han Song-Yi were never going to be enough. On their second set point, China clinched the first frame 25-18 with a well-worked spike from Chu, Liaoning's lethal weapon, straight down the middle. The second set continued in similar fashion, with rallies few and far between as the teams traded quick points. China led 16-12 at the second TTO of the second set, and the Koreans called their second TO when the set began to slip away at 18-12. Zhou brought up set point with a trademark running spike, and Chu did the rest to close out the second set 25-17. Although China dominated the third set, the Koreans had not given up hope, and Han ended a long rally with a flashing winner from deep to score one of the most spectacular points of the match. But there were just not enough of them from Korea, and China closed out the match 25-19.
