Originally posted by VBFC 節錄自 世界男排大冠軍杯賽 Quote from World Grand Champions Cup Brazil wake up in the nick of time World No. 1 Brazil were given a mighty fright by wild card entry China before winning their encounter 3-2 at Nagano Arena on Wednesday afternoon. The reigning world and Olympic champions lost the first two sets 25-23, 28-26 before turning the tables to take the next three 25-11, 25-18, 15-10. Brazil improved to 2-0, while brave China dropped to 0-2. Brazil started slowly, and China's Shen Qiong took them by surprise with some crashing early kills. With Xie Wenhao impressive at the net, China held three set points at 24-21. Brazil saved two of them before Andre served into the net again to hand China the first set 25-23. In the second set, a serve from Tang Miao that struck the top of the net and dropped over for the softest of aces highlighted the fact that the ball was just not running for Brazil, and a brilliant winner on the left from captain Sui Shengsheng increased their concern. With all the errors, Brazil could not build any rhythm, and it was only the individual talent of Giba and Andre on the flanks, and in particular Gustavo Endres at the net, that kept the points coming. Giba increased the tempo down the stretch with some soaring winners through the middle, but Brazil missed two set points before China took the second set 28-26 on their second set point with an ace from Tang. In the third set, China could not maintain the pressure and made too many errors. Head coach Di Anhe called a TO when trailing 13-6, but Brazil had finally found some momentum, and a three-man block on Tang gave them a nine-point lead at the second TTO. The third set ended comfortably for Brazil 25-11 in only 18 minutes. China's return of serve disintegrated at the start of the fourth set, and with a more coordinated block and smooth attack, Brazil quickly opened up a handsome lead. They closed out the fourth frame 25-18 with a Rodrigo Santana special at the net. In the tiebreak, Brazil started strongly but were pegged back to 7-7 before surging to victory.
